Hi! I’m Anna—the only true Mainer in my family, a special educator, and someone who’s slowly finding her way outside.

I live in central Maine with my three chaotic, lovable dogs, a lot of books, and an outdoor loving husband. When I’m not teaching or grading papers, you’ll usually find me baking something new, reading a novel I should’ve finished weeks ago, crafting, or writing about life—now with a little more dirt and fresh air involved.

Mainely Me is my place to share what happens when an indoor girlie decides to open the door—literally—and see what this whole “nature” thing is about. Spoiler: it’s not always graceful, and I still don’t like hiking, but I’m giving it a go. I’ll also be checking out some indoor activities my lovely home state has to offer.
