    Proof you can hate hiking and still have an adventure!

    Confession: I love Maine. It’s pretty and there’s lots to do, but I’m not an outside girlie. I prefer the comfort of a cozy blanket, an iced coffee, and a nice book. I don’t like hiking. In fact, I hate it. I’m not sure why exactly, but I just don’t enjoy a day spent walking up a mountain only to come right back down. And don’t get me started about paddling small crafts on open water. I mean, what’s lurking below the surface?!

    Yet, here I am, starting a blog about experiencing the wilder parts of Maine… all on my own terms, of course. This blog is about taking small steps out of my very cozy comfort zone and saying “yes” more than “no” to new experiences, some of which just may happen outside.
